Page 1 of 3 How do you create an audio trigger? This tutorial covers the basics of using BST to make an audio trigger, from the most basic to some more advanced tricks!
The first thing to do is open the advanced menu. Everything past this step can be done using the Triggers tab, but the trigger tab will not let you undo mistakes! Advanced Trigger Menu As in this example, I'm using an empty document, the first thing that's needed is to add a module. A Module is a collection of triggers, some people call them a collection or a working set. You can have many modules loaded. Adding a Module Adding a module: 1. in the Module box, type in the name of the module. In this example, I've chosen MyAudioTriggers. Make sure the "Active" button is checked or the triggers will not work! 2. Click the Add button. The Module is then added to the list, and the list of available triggers is shown in the lower window. Currently it is empty. Adding a trigger: 1. In the Display Label box, give your trigger a name. Within each module, the name must be unique! 2. In the When this text appears box, type in the text you want to look for while parsing. 3. Either click the Browse button and choose a sound file, or type in the sound file name in this box. If BST already has sounds loaded, they will be available in the drop down list. 4. Click Add and your trigger will be added to the module! Click OK and your new trigger is ready to use!!!
